SAILING HIGH POINT OF THE YEAR FOR PROFESSIONALS!

If you work in Law, Finance, Engineering or IT, you can now spend a week of October in the Mediterranean sun, having fun, networking and enjoying some very competitive sailing.

An exciting series of regattas is taking place in October 2008 in Gocek, Turkey. High Point Yacht Fests are international regattas for sailing enthusiasts who share a common professional background. There will be four regattas in consecutive weeks in October 2008, with participants drawn from Law (4-11 Oct), Finance (11-18 Oct), Engineering (18-25 Oct) and Information Technology (25 Oct-1 Nov).

Sasha King, Managing Director of Adriatic Holidays, in charge of the organising committee says: “We have organised the Engineers Challenge Cup (ECC) in Croatia in 2003, in Turkey in 2007 and we are organising it again this year. The ECC is a fantastic event, with 450 participants and 70 boats. People come back year after year and it is now so popular that there is a long waiting list.

“High Point YachtFests are catering for that excess demand and extending the concept to other professional groups. October is a great time to sail in the Mediterranean. The days are still warm and the sailing is excellent. In addition, because it is not peak season, it allows us to offer the whole package at great value.”

High Point YachtFest boats are Bavaria 39s and Bavaria 42s. There is a one-off entry fee of 600 Euro. Depending on the week and the boat, the price of a boat ranges from 3,280 to 3,850 Euro. This includes not just the boat for a week, but also diesel for the week, end-cleaning charges, the race itinerary and organised mooring for each evening; a welcome dinner, the prize giving dinner; evening meals at three anchorages, all mooring fees and port taxes, VAT, the race organisation and support crew, boat insurance, a log book, regatta T-shirts and a provisioning service.
